According to a British study, the speed of a person’s reaction can reveal the length of his life more than factors such as blood pressure, exercise and weight.
Researchers conducted a 20-year follow-up survey on 7414 volunteers aged 85 or so across the country.
The results show that people with slow reaction are 2.6 times more likely to die early than ordinary people. Reaction speed is the fatal factor of death from many causes, including cardiovascular disease. The reaction speed of people when facing choices is closely related to IQ.
Research shows that people with higher IQ are healthier and live longer. This should have a lot to do with lifestyle, because people with high IQ tend to smoke less and are less obese.
