Many people know that incorrect sitting posture can cause cervical spondylosis, lumbar muscle strain and other diseases, but do you know that incorrect sleeping posture can easily lead to diseases.
For the human body, adequate sleep and good sleep quality are one of the necessary conditions for longevity. Generally speaking, there are three positions in sleep, supine, lateral and prone. For women, the best sleeping position is to lie on the right side.
At present, there are not many women sleeping in prone position, because this posture tends to compress the chest and affect breathing. For developing adolescent women, this posture will also affect the development of the thorax and breast, so it should be avoided as far as possible.
Sleeping in supine position does not seem to affect all organs of the body. In fact, in the normal anatomy of the female reproductive system, the position of the uterus should be in the anteversion and anteversion position. However, some studies have found that most of the posterior uterus is related to sleeping in supine position.
The uterus can be in the anteversion and anteflexion position, which depends on the uterine ligaments. The posterior uterus falls toward the sacral recess, especially the retroflexion uterus, which makes the whole uterine body lie in the sacral recess, blocks the sacral recess tightly, and compresses the anterior sacral nerve tissue, which is easy to cause discomfort such as lumbar acid and abdominal distension. Before menstruation, the soft tissues in front of the uterine body and sacrum are congested and edematous, which is more likely to increase the compression of the posterior uterus on the nerve tissue and aggravate the symptoms.
In addition, the posterior uterus has the following potential problems:
–Excessive menstruation and backward tilting of the uterus can often cause the ovaries and fallopian tubes to sag backward and downward, causing the position of the ovaries and fallopian tubes to change, causing the pelvic veins to twist, the blood flow to be blocked, and the pelvic veins to congestion, resulting in excessive menstruation. This also easily leads to sexual pain and makes women full of fear of sexual life.
–Dysmenorrhea, the posterior uterus is like a teapot, the cervical canal is like a teapot mouth, and the uterine body is like a teapot body. The cervix, which is the mouth of the teapot, is higher than the uterine cavity, which is the body of the teapot. Menstrual blood is difficult to be discharged from the “bottom of the teapot”.
–In case of infertility, the posterior uterus can lead the cervix upward and point to the front wall of the vagina, so that the external mouth of the cervix is obviously higher than the semen pool, like a cliff by the river. Then the sperm can not smoothly enter the cervical canal, and pregnancy is certainly difficult to achieve.
Excluding supine and prone positions, only the side sleeping position is left. Among them, lying on the left side is not ideal because it will compress the heart and may cause discomfort. The right side lying without the above-mentioned sleeping posture may cause problems, which naturally becomes the most recommended sleeping posture for women.
