hidden danger 1: gas tanks in extended service
Jia Dacheng, a senior first-aid expert at the Beijing Emergency Center, told the life times that personal injuries caused by gas tank explosions are the most common and often serious. Generally, there are four reasons for gas tank explosion:
First, the gas tank is accidentally heated, and the gas inside expands rapidly. If the pressure in the tank is too high, it will explode.
Second, excessive inflation. Generally speaking, when filling the gas tank, it should not exceed 85% of its volume. If the tank is overfilled, the explosion risk will increase significantly when it is exposed to the sun and baked.
Third, in winter, in order to make the fire burn more vigorously, some residents will scald the bottom of the tank with hot water, which can easily lead to explosion, which is also the reason for the frequent explosion of gas tanks in winter.
Fourth, gas tanks that are in extended service and lack of maintenance and repair will explode when they encounter high temperature, extrusion and collision. Jia Dacheng pointed out that measures such as using qualified gas tanks produced by regular manufacturers, regular inspection and maintenance, refusing to serve beyond the time limit, and avoiding incorrect use can effectively prevent gas tank explosions. If you smell gas odor when cooking, you should be alert and suspend use.
Jia Dacheng said that at present, the gas pipes used by many families are relatively safe, but it is better to install alarms and cooperate with staff to regularly check whether there is gas leakage, so as to avoid high indoor carbon monoxide concentration due to gas leakage, which will cause explosion in case of open fire.
hidden danger 2: pressure cooker that is not cleaned frequently
“I only heard a loud noise, the lid of the pot was blown off, and hot food splashed everywhere…” Zou Xiaofang said that it was common for patients to come to see a doctor because of the explosion of the pressure cooker. The explosion described by the patient was creepy. There are two main reasons for the explosion of the pressure cooker: first, it exceeds the safe service life; Second, pay no attention to cleaning. Once the pressure limit valve and float valve are blocked, the pressure in the pot will explode if it is too high.
Therefore, Zou Xiaofang suggested that the service life of both traditional pressure cooker and electric pressure cooker should be 6-8 years. If the pot is deformed and rusted, it should be discarded immediately. The pressure limiting valve and float valve must be checked before use, and any blockage shall be cleaned up in time; The food in the pot should not be too full, and attention should be paid to whether the lid is fastened in place; After leaving the fire, remove the lower limit pressure valve and open the cover after the pot is fully cooled.
hidden danger 3: lighters in high-temperature vehicles
Many men who smoke carry lighters with them. In hot summer, if the lighter is left in the car, it may explode and even ignite the whole car. Jia Dacheng explained that under the sunlight, the temperature in the car will reach more than 60 ℃, and the liquid butane contained in the lighter will expand when heated, and the shell will explode if it can not bear the internal pressure.
The fire department has done experiments: in the scorching sun, the lighter will explode in 12 minutes if it is placed in the car. At the moment of explosion, the lighter ejected a large amount of gas, and the plastic shell was blown into fragments and scattered everywhere, which was very dangerous.
Experts pointed out that lighters should not be placed in cars; The lighters at home should also be kept in the shade. In addition, perfume, batteries, toilet water, rechargeable batteries, carbonated drinks and other products that are easy to explode under high temperature should not be put in the car.
hidden danger 4: microwave oven used to boil water
Lu Jianguo told the reporter that the microwave oven should not be used to over heat the water, because the water will not flow when it is heated by the microwave, but the temperature will rise, which may exceed the boiling point but not open. But when you pick up the water cup, a little movement may cause a boiling, or even an explosion. When heating the liquid, the time should not be too long and should be controlled within 2 minutes.
It should be noted that the microwave oven heats from the inside to the outside. Eggs, quail eggs, crispy intestines, unpeeled potatoes and other foods similar to “dressed in clothes” will expand internally during the heating process, but the shell will block the gas expansion, which will explode. When using the microwave oven to heat this kind of food, it is best to make a cut and poke a hole, which is conducive to the heat emission.
hidden danger 5: hot water bags that are too old
In cold winter, a warm hot water bag is the “treasure in the hands” of many people, but it may explode and hurt people if you don’t pay attention to it. Zou Xiaofang told the reporter that the common cause of scalding caused by explosion of hot water bags is that after filling hot water, the hot water bags expand rapidly. If the hot water bags themselves are old, they are more likely to burst and explode.
Experts suggest that the hot water bag should be replaced after two or three years of use. If there is a slight crack on the surface, it should be thrown away decisively. In use, it is best not to pour boiling water, and the water temperature should be around 50 ℃, which is warm and not hot. Fill the hot water bag to 2 / 3. After filling, exhaust the air and tighten the cover.
hidden danger 6: unmarked electric heating bag
The electric heating bag is more convenient than the hot water bag, so it is favored by more people. However, accidents of explosion and scald caused by improper use of electric heating bags are not uncommon. Lu Jianguo told reporters that due to different heating elements, electric heating bags can be divided into electrode type, electric heating tube type and flexible heating wire type.
Electrode type electric heating bags are the most dangerous. Because of frequent explosions, they have been banned by the state, but they are still sold by illegal businesses. Generally, the electric heating tube type electric heating bag will not explode, but it has a poor feel and a short life, about 1 year. Flexible heating wire type electric heating bag is the first choice for purchase due to its comfortable feel and long service life.
Experts remind that consumers can identify electric heating bags by kneading. If the bag body is soft, it is a flexible heating wire type; If you pinch a hard block or object, it is an electrode type or an electric heating tube type. I suggest that you must buy the products of regular manufacturers and not try to buy the “three noes” products cheaply.
hidden danger No. 7: squeezed power bank
Taking a rechargeable battery when going out and traveling can avoid a lot of trouble of “power failure”. However, the General Administration of quality supervision, inspection and Quarantine of the people’s Republic of China has monitored the quality of the domestic rechargeable treasure market and found that all rechargeable treasure have more or less safety risks. When some products encounter external influences such as extrusion and impact, internal short circuit may occur, resulting in spontaneous combustion or explosion.
Lu Jianguo reminded that when you buy rechargeable batteries, you must pay attention to: first, try to buy them through regular channels. Do not buy products without brand models, manufacturers, electrical parameter marks and warning instructions; Secondly, the shell should be carefully inspected when purchasing. Inferior products are rough in workmanship; Once again, when the temperature of the rechargeable battery is abnormally high, it should be quickly placed in a container with certain fire and explosion-proof capacity, away from the crowd.
