Due to the lack of correct health knowledge and unclear understanding of some imitations, many habits and behaviors appear in daily life that appear to be hygienic but are actually unhealthy, which will do some harm to people’s health. For example:
(1) People often think that their feet are dirtier than their faces and hands, so they only pay attention to distinguishing between face wash and foot wash. In fact, the face and hands touch the outside world more and are dirtier than the feet. A basin that can wash the feet can wash the face naturally. What is important is that everyone should fix the pot to reduce the mutual infection of certain infectious diseases among family members, which is in line with the health requirements.
(2) Some people think that toilet paper is detoxified, so they use ordinary toilet paper to wipe tableware, fruits, and even children’s mouths. Tests show that many sanitation products have not been disinfected or are not disinfected thoroughly. They contain a large number of bacteria and are not hygienic. Only high-grade toilet paper or tissue paper that has been strictly disinfected is clean.
(3) Many people only know that brushing their teeth is a hygienic behavior, but ignore the hygiene requirements of the toothbrush itself. Some toothbrush bristles have been rolled up, and the hair roots are blackened. A large number of bacteria and microorganisms contained on them invade the human body from the damaged oral mucosa or are swallowed directly by people every time they brush their teeth. This is that the “hygiene” in appearance hides the unsanitary in essence. The toothbrush should generally be replaced every three months.
(4) People think that tap water is raw water, so it is unsanitary. Therefore, all tableware and fruits washed with tap water should be dried with rags. Experiments show that this wiping is unsanitary, because it brings bacteria on the rag to the cleaned objects. At present, most of the tap water used in urban and rural areas in China is disinfected. After washing with tap water, it is basically clean as long as it is naturally dried.
(5) Many people are used to using old newspapers and magazines as wrapping paper to wrap food, thinking that this can protect the cleanliness and hygiene of food. In fact, this is also an unhygienic habit. The words on old newspapers, magazines and books are printed with ink. At present, most of the inks used in printing in China are made from benzene compounds, and benzene, toluene or xylene are toxic. In addition, there are a lot of bacteria and germs in waste newspapers, magazines and old books. According to laboratory examination, there were more than 20 kinds of bacteria, viruses and eggs such as tuberculosis, typhoid, diphtheria, hepatitis and Ascaris eggs in an old newspaper. Packaging food with waste newspapers will pollute food with these germs, viruses and insect eggs.
(6) Some hands are very clean, but the towels or handkerchiefs used to clean them are very dirty; I washed my hands before dinner, but I went to get other things or count money and meal tickets, so the cleaned hands were polluted again.
(7) When some people open the lid of pots, pots, cups, jars and other vessels, they often use to cover the lid flat on the table or table, resulting in dirt such as dust and bacteria on the inner surface of the lid, and then covering the lid on the container will also pollute the water or food in the container. Therefore, when you lift the lid, you should put it upward.
All these are unhygienic habits that people do not pay attention to.
