The tongue of healthy people is light red and moist, and the tongue coating is thin and white, without cracks and dents. In case of any of the following circumstances, it often indicates that you are not healthy:
Tongue flavor lace gathers together to form grooves and ridges, and the surface is short of vitamin B for a long time.
Inflexible tongue movement, rigidity and unclear speech are often the precursors of cerebrovascular rupture or the sequelae of stroke.
A burr on the tongue generally indicates pneumonia and other high fever diseases, as well as scarlet fever patients.
Tremor when extending the tongue indicates neurasthenia and chronic illness.
The yellow and greasy coating on the tongue reflects indigestion, loss of appetite, and the increase of corrupt organic substances in the digestive tract. Patients with acute hepatitis also often have such tongue coating.
If the tongue color is too light, it indicates anemia or tissue edema.
The color of the tongue is blue and purple, which is a manifestation of the lack of oxygen in the body.
If the tongue is fat, the patient may have hypothyroidism or acromegaly.
The tongue is fat and tender, with teeth marks on the tongue, indicating edema, which is considered as “Qi Deficiency” in traditional Chinese medicine.
Tongue dry bath, indicating increased sympathetic nervous tension; Parasympathetic nervous tension is reduced, and therefore saliva secretion is reduced.
The bright red and flat tongue often indicates diabetes.
The tongue is bright and red, indicating a lack of niacin.
The glossy tongue with little coating indicates a lack of vitamin B (12) or folic acid.
The tongue is slightly purple or magenta, indicating a lack of vitamin B (2).
