The humid environment in the bathroom is easy to breed bacteria, and it is also one of the “bacteria places” that are very easy to hide dirt in the home. And its daily cleaning work is not only to brush the floor, but also to prevent the breeding of bacteria from details.
speaking of those habits in the bathroom that are easy to be ignored by us –
1. The toothbrush is close to the toilet.
Research has found that when flushing, the instantaneous cyclone in the toilet can carry germs or microorganisms up to 6m high in the air, suspend them in the air for several hours, and then land on the toothbrush and mouthwash cup. Secondly, when using, it will fall in carelessly and cause toilet blockage. If it is serious, it must be disassembled and dredged to completely solve it, which will bring unnecessary trouble to life.
Suggestion: it’s better not to put the toothbrush in the bathroom, because the humid environment is more likely to breed bacteria. It should be placed in a dry and ventilated place to reduce the chance of “disease entering through the mouth”.
2. Don’t take the towel out to dry.
Many people do not have the habit of drying towels. They often hang them in the bathroom directly after taking a bath, and then use them the next time they take a bath. In fact, the fabric structure of the towel itself is very popular with bacteria. If it is placed in a humid environment, all kinds of bacteria will run on it and come into close contact with our human body, which is easy to cause health problems.
Suggestion: after using every day, wash it with water and dry it in the sun. Wash it once every two or three days. Soak it in detergent for half an hour and then rub it. Don’t use soap, otherwise the towel will dry hard. In addition, the towels should be disinfected at high temperature every month. You can put the towels in the special fresh-keeping box of the microwave oven and turn up the fire for three or five minutes.
3. The shower curtain is often wet.
Shower curtain is also a thing that is easy to breed bacteria in the bathroom. When we often take a bath, we will often get it wet without taking any action, which will easily lead to mold. Attract mold to settle in.
Suggestion: you can buy a mildew proof and waterproof canvas curtain, and after taking a shower, you should open the shower curtain to circulate air to prevent mildew. If there is mildew, it should be removed frequently for cleaning. According to different materials, most shower curtains can be washed and dried with soapy water or washing liquid, while canvas or cotton curtains need to be ironed and dried after washing. If there are too many stains to clean up, you need to buy a new shower curtain.
4. Walk barefoot in the bathroom
An ABC study found that bathroom floors actually harbor the most bacteria. Even if the bathroom has been washed many times, there will still be many bacteria hidden on the floor, so it is better not to walk barefoot in the bathroom (nor in other rooms).
Suggestion: whether you are barefoot or not, the floor should be scrubbed frequently. It’s better to prepare more pairs of anti-skid shoes for changing. After using the toilet, turn on the exhaust fan to let the steam away as soon as possible, keep the room dry, and avoid slipping. If there are special foot wipes, they should also be changed frequently.
5. People flush the toilet when they sit down.
Some people go to the toilet very slowly and can’t stand the smell, so they flush the toilet once while sitting. But in fact, this will cause microorganisms in the toilet and feces to adhere to our bodies, which will affect our health if it is unsanitary.
Suggestion: you should make a quick decision to relieve your hands. If you can squat, you should not sit. If you are squatting at home, you can properly pad your foot pads to find the most comfortable defecation posture. Also, when flushing the toilet, it is best to cover the toilet lid and open it a moment later. In view of the fact that the toilet is heavily polluted and in close contact with us, we should focus on cleaning, and wipe it with diluted household disinfectant every two days. If cloth gaskets are used, they should also be cleaned and disinfected frequently.
6. Until the wastepaper basket is full
Most families will put a wastepaper basket beside the toilet to hold used toilet paper or aunt’s towels, but few people can clean it at any time and store it for at least one or two days. But this will cause bacteria to spread in the air. The longer the time, the more bacteria will grow.
Suggestion: as long as it is not too thick and tough, toilet paper can generally become soft in water and will not cause congestion, so it can be thrown into the toilet and flushed away. If you are worried about this, you’d better choose a garbage can with a lid and clean it every day to prevent the spread of bacteria.
7. Toilet brush is not changed all year round
Toilet brush is the hero of keeping toilet clean, but if you don’t pay attention to cleaning and drying, it will also become a pollution source.
Suggestion: after brushing the dirt every time, it is inevitable that the brush will be stained with dirt. It is better to rinse the water several times. After washing and draining the water, spray the disinfectant or soak it in the disinfectant. After that, hang it in a ventilated place. It is better not to put it in a dark corner.
