Dr. William rutala of the University of North Carolina pointed out that the common bacteria on computer keyboards are Streptococcus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Chlamydia trachomatis. If they are not cleaned up in time, they will lead to digestive tract diseases, skin diseases, eye diseases and skin allergies. A survey found that the garbage in office computer keyboards is increasing at an average rate of 2G per month.
How can we keep our keyboard clean? You may as well do a “general cleaning” of the computer keyboard regularly according to the following steps:
1. Tap the keyboard turn off the computer and remove the keyboard from the host. Put a newspaper on the table, turn the keyboard upside down, about 10cm away from the table top, tap and shake. You will find that there are many “stocks” falling out of the keyboard: in addition to dust, there are biscuit crumbs, coffee grounds, rubber crumbs, hair strands, etc.
2. Blow off sundries use a hair dryer to aim at the gap on the keyboard keys to blow away the sundries attached to them, and then turn the keyboard down again and shake it.
3. Scrub the surface dip a piece of soft cloth into the diluted detergent. Be careful that the soft cloth is not too wet. Scrub the key surface. Then use the vacuum brush of the vacuum cleaner to suck the keyboard again, which can suck away the residue missed in the above procedure.
4. Disinfection after the keyboard is cleaned, you may as well dip it in alcohol, disinfectant or medical hydrogen peroxide for disinfection, and finally dry the keyboard surface with a dry cloth.
5. Clean thoroughly if you want to give the keyboard a thorough cleaning, you must remove the caps of each key, one by one in the order from the corner to the middle of the keyboard area. It is difficult to restore the large key caps such as the space bar and the Enter key, so try not to remove them. In order to avoid forgetting the position of these key caps, it is best to take a picture of the keyboard layout with a camera or draw a sketch. After removing the key cap, soak it in detergent or disinfectant solution, and carefully scrub the keyboard base with lint cloth or disinfectant paper towel. In this way, regular keyboard cleaning can ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
