In high-temperature weather, the sun is hot, and sunshades and sunscreens have become necessary for beauty lovers to go out. However, the market is full of sunscreen umbrellas with different prices and materials. How can we choose a good umbrella?
Purchase of sunshade
When you buy a sunshade, you should pay attention to whether there is a label in the umbrella stating that the umbrella is UV resistant, which means that the umbrella can really prevent ultraviolet rays (ordinary umbrellas can not resist ultraviolet rays in fact). Of course, there are also dual-purpose umbrellas on the market that have both rain protection and UV resistance. Usually, the label will be sewn on the inside of the umbrella frame, or the price tag will indicate the anti UV effect. When choosing a sunshade, please refer to the following points:
1. When choosing the umbrella surface, the umbrella with obviously sparse fabric has poor UV resistance, so consumers should buy it carefully.
2. Due to the shrinking property of the fabric, when buying a sunshade, the umbrella surface should be large rather than small.
3. The color of the fabric is related to the ultraviolet protection performance. Under the same conditions, the darker the color of the fabric, the better the UV resistance. In contrast, black, navy blue, dark green are better than light blue, light pink, light yellow and other UV resistance properties.
4. Carefully check the protection grade sign before purchase. According to the “evaluation of ultraviolet protection performance of textiles” issued by the General Administration of quality supervision, inspection and Quarantine of the people’s Republic of China, only when the UPF (ultraviolet protection coefficient) is greater than 30 and the UVA (long wavelength ultraviolet) transmittance is less than 5%, can it be called an ultraviolet protection product, and the protection grade standard is “upf30 +”; When the UPF is greater than 50, it indicates that the product has excellent ultraviolet protection performance, and the protection grade is marked as “UPF50 +”. When shopping, consumers should carefully check the protection grade identification, and then choose an umbrella suitable for them according to the local sun conditions.
5. Choose famous brand products, beware of ordinary umbrellas making up for the number and Fake UV protection umbrellas.
6. The anti ultraviolet performance can be preliminarily judged according to the fabric properties of the umbrella surface. Generally speaking, cotton, silk, nylon, viscose and other materials have poor UV protection performance, while polyester is better. The polyester containing fabrics commonly used for making umbrellas are colored Ding cloth, MAC cloth, etc. In addition, satin fabric has the best UV protection performance, followed by twill and plain, and the darker the color, the better.
7. Whether the sunscreen umbrella can prevent ultraviolet rays is not the most important thing. The main thing is what kind of technical treatment the manufacturer has done to the cloth. Generally, cotton and hemp fabrics have certain UV protection properties, but the degree is not strong. Most of the sunscreen umbrellas sold in the market in the past two years were coated with a layer of silver glue on the umbrella surface, which can reflect and block some direct ultraviolet rays. However, the quality of silver glue is good and bad. The silver glue of sunscreen umbrellas produced by manufacturers with good technical conditions is not easy to fall off. In order to make up for the number, some cheap sunscreen umbrellas only paint a layer of silver on the surface of the umbrella, and the color will fall off after several times of sunlight exposure.
8. When the umbrella surface is wet, due to the optical conduction of water, the transmittance of ultraviolet rays increases, and the protective effect decreases. Therefore, the wet umbrella should not be used for UV protection.
thermometer can measure sunscreen index of sunshade.
If you want to test the anti ultraviolet quality of your umbrella, there is a simple method: open several umbrella supports made of different materials outdoors, put a thermometer of the same model inside and outside each umbrella, and observe the difference between the inside and outside thermometers of the umbrella after exposure to the sun for 10 minutes. If the difference between the inside and outside thermometers is large, it means that the umbrella has good heat insulation and anti ultraviolet functions. Otherwise, the quality is poor.
