Pregnant women and lactating women. Dr. guyla said that during pregnancy, the total blood volume and cardiac output were larger than before, and morning sickness would increase the risk of dehydration. In addition, women should pay attention to replenishing body fluids during lactation, otherwise they are also prone to dehydration.
Older people. With the increase of age, the body’s water storage capacity decreases and the feeling of thirst decreases. This means that the elderly are more prone to dehydration.
People who exercise a lot. Dr. MAS said that whether it is riding a bike or jogging, if you don’t replenish water in time, you will increase the risk of dehydration.
People who eat less fruits and vegetables. Half a plate of fruits and vegetables is equivalent to about two extra glasses of water every day. If you don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables every day (about 150g for one fruit and 75g for one vegetable), and don’t pay attention to drinking water, your body will be more prone to dehydration. It should be reminded that some vegetables have diuretic effects, such as coriander, celery and watercress. Drink more water after eating.
An alcoholic. Alcohol has the effect of inhibiting antidiuretic hormone, which will lead to an increase in the number of urination. Excessive drinking is easy to cause dehydration.
